Description: |
The Lisbon Sports Club has bags of history. Originally a cricket club for British ex-pats in 1873, the golf course was first opened in 1890 with just 6 holes in Algés. Today, situated near Sintra the club has evolved into a full 18-hole golf course set in beautiful surroundings with a variety of different holes. This 5,261 metres (5,753 yards) golf course was designed by Hawtree and Sons and was extended from its original 9-holes to 14 and finally to the 18-hole, par 69 golf course it is today.
